About Andy Julian, Instrumental Music Director

For over 20 years Andy Julian has enjoyed teaching, inspiring, and sharing the love of music with his students. Mr. Julian grew up in Westminster, California, and started playing the clarinet in 5th grade. A graduate of Mater Dei High School, he went on to study saxophone and music education at UCLA, and received his degree in 2001. Mr. Julian then obtained his teaching credential from Cal-State Long Beach and eventually his Master's Degree in Music Education from the American Band College of Central Washington University. 

 

Mr. Julian has taught both band and orchestra at the primary, intermediate and high-school levels. Under his baton, music students have inspired audiences through their annual performances onstage at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, numerous community venues throughout Orange County, San Diego, the Central valley, Disneyland Park, Knott's Berry Farm, Sea World, and were chosen by Congresswoman Michelle Steel to represent the State of California in the annual Memorial Day Parade In Washington DC In 2022. 

 

In 2019 Mr. Julian was honored as a VIP Education consultant for the Conn-Selmer© Corporation, the legendary American instrument manufacturer. He lives in Mission Viejo with his lovely wife, Karen, his vivacious daughter, Abigail, and exuberant son, Henry.
